She will want to know who Anna was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether Anna wanted her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether she loved her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether she was afraid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll tell her exactly what happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That her mother was alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That she was dying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That she was frightened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That there was almost nothing left she could control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And she didn\u2019t use her final clear thought to ask someone to comfort her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or save her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She used it to find her daughter a family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said one name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it led all the way home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
